You're invited to join the folks from Atlanta Jewish Experience and Congregation Beth Jacob for learners services almost every Shabbat.
Lead by Rabbi Dave Silverman from the Atlanta Scholar's Kollel (ASK), these learners services have the reputation for giving Jews like you and me the opportunity to explore the gift of shabbos through learning about Saturday morning prayers.
Rabbi Silverman explains the structure, purpose and detail of the prayers. Q & A goes on all through the services, and is encouraged, and can touch on any Jewish topic.
Afterwards, you can head home, or even better, we invite you and the other participants to enjoy a leisurely Shabbat afternoon lunch with one of the families in the neighborhood. That takes "the day of rest" to it's full potential, as you learn more about the rituals of Shabbat... or just talk about how the Braves are doing this year.
